Before I stumbled across the remedy that helped with my bad vaginal odor, I tried countless other remedies. The results were mixed.
Here's a list of things I thought might help along with the results I experienced:
Douching. This seemed like a great idea. It wasn't. The problem with trying to hide the smell by using a douche is that you simply irritate the bacteria making the smell even more potent. After douching I was suffering with strong odor again within hours. This isn't something I'd recommend.
Scented soaps. These provided some temporary relief but they also caused some irritation in the delicate tissues of the area. I also experienced some fairly persistent itching after using a strong perfumed soap. This may work for you if your body can handle the intensity of the chemicals in the soap.
Scented panty liners. These really helped hide the smell for me. The only problem that I had with them is that the scents they come in are a little over the top. I did end up having to change the liner several times throughout the day to help mask the odor. One drawback is that it didn't change the issue when it came to intimacy. I was still too self-conscious to be intimate with my husband.
Feminine deodorant. Unfortunately I didn't have good results with these products. I tried several but found that they only mingled with my vaginal odor and in some cases made it seem much stronger. They also caused me to sweat more in my feminine area which only intensified the problem.
I did find a cure for the vaginal odor that didn't involve simply masking the problem. This solved the problem for good.
